Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure the quality of software products.
• Identify, record, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and preventing their recurrence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and product owners, to understand project requirements and provide valuable input during the development process.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies and strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and quality assurance.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Provide accurate and timely status updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to the project team and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, preferably in a mid-level role.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies and principles.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, track, and report software defects effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java, C#, or Python, is a plus
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
